Dog portraits you can treasure

Our dogs hold a special place in our hearts – they make us smile on our best (and worst) days. I always try to capture something special in my dog portraits that will remind you of those smiles in years to come.

On the day of the shoot

Think of it as a relaxed ramble punctuated by a few photo opportunities. At first I’ll just get to know your dog, their nature and any sensitivities to help them remain chilled out. We’ll get a range of poses and hopefully some action shots too if your dog is energetic!

After your shoot I will select the best images of the day and retouch them to a high standard before presenting them to you in a private online proofing gallery where you can choose 3 favourites. Additional finished images are £10 each.

Starting from £10 (for 10×8), I can supply beautiful prints on Omega Rag, a matt fine art archival quality paper that looks fantastic when framed.

I can also provide larger prints, including frames. Please get in touch for prices.

Doggy Photoshoot

Treat your dog/s to a photoshoot at Kinver Edge, a beautiful National Trust location in Shropshire

We will spend around an hour in the varied open parkland, tree cover, heather and other flora.

I can also meet at other local parks and locations to suit.

Prices start from:

£45 – Pay on the day

Includes 3 finished images supplied digitally in high and social media friendly resolution.

Should I walk my dog before the photoshoot?

Yes! Absolutely! Whatever level of training your dog is at, they are always going to be more attentive and easier to work with when they have burnt off their excess energy! This is why I always ask that you give your dog a good walk or run around before we meet up.

Do I need to bring a different collar?

Your dogs normal collar is fine, but it may be better to remove any distracting accessories from it. I usually bring a slip lead as well, which is best if it can work with your dog. I also always remove phone/address details from name tags on finished photos so they can remain on.

Can you shoot multiple dogs?

Yes, but depending on how well you can control your dogs, the results will vary. I always recommend that if you are bringing more than one dog, then bring an extra human! My normal shoot allows for up to two dogs. Additional dogs are £10 each up to a maximum of 3 dogs. If you have more dogs please get in touch and we’ll figure out a custom photoshoot just for you!

What if it rains or the weather forecast is bad?

No problem. If the session has to be cancelled due to weather, then we can re-arrange another date. If we have to cut short in the middle of a shoot, then we can reschedule at no extra charge.

Should I bring treats and toys?

Yes, absolutely! An important part of the photoshoot is rewarding your dog every time they do as you ask. But please bring small treats, because we will be using them often! If you are clicker training your dog, bring your clicker. If they have a squeaky toy then bring it with you.

Can you do studio based shots?

I work from home, and can provide a shoot for a small/medium sized dog with various colour backgrounds. I am also planning studio days where I will book multiple customers. Please contact me for info.
