Artwork Digitisation
If you are an artist, you probably sell prints of your work.
If you have tried to make camera copies of your art, you have probably discovered how tricky it can be to light your artwork evenly, while keeping shadows and reflections of the source light off your artwork. Light that gets reflected directly off the artwork causes what is known as “specular” light, and this can cause the resulting image to have harsh highlights but also reduced contrast when camera copying.
I use special filters on my lighting and lenses to ensure that direct reflections are eliminated, ensuring that your digitised artwork has rich, accurate colours. The camera is mounted on a large tripod with a spirit level to eliminate perspective distortion. Colour accuracy is achieved through the use of calibration plates.
Digitisation package
A same-day digitisation session costs £30, and can cover up to around a dozen pieces of artwork. Artwork is dropped off and collected from my home by arrangement when making the booking.
Each high resolution image is supplied in industry standard sRGB format, and will be suitable for printing at original size at around 300dpi.
